My Experience at the Texas Coffee Bar

This place has been SUPER hyped up lately, so the hubz and I went to brunch over the weekend to try it!

First of all, let me mention, this place is located inside of a hair salon. It's very small, but it has an amazing atmosphere! I love how it really reminds you of a bar!

We were greeted by Albert, who was extremely welcoming. He shared with us that he owns the little bistro along with his partner Justin. Their wives own the salon that the coffee bar is located inside of. The salon, Meche Beauty & Boutique, has been open for 2 years. The Texas Coffee Bar has only been open for 8 weeks.

They sure seem to be doing great for such a short period of time. I watched them greet several customers that have already made this their regular coffee spot. I heard them call out orders before customers could get it out themselves.

I told Albert, that I really wanted to try the coffee flights I see all over my social media. He handed me their flavor menu and I told him I would choose two flavors and he could surprise me with the other three. Man, did he impress me with his flavor choices! A couple of them were kind of out of my comfort zone, but they ended up being my favorites!

#1: Pumpkin Iced Latte

My choice.

Jess: 8/10-Kind of just wish the pumpkin flavor was a bit stronger, but I loved how strong the coffee came through.

Larry: 6/10-He agreed and wished the pumpkin was stronger, but we can always ask for extra next time.

#2: Egg Nog Iced Latte

My choice.

J: 8/10-I thought it was very similar to the pumpkin flavor, just a little weaker. I still enjoyed it very much.

L: 10/10-He really enjoyed the flavors in this one.

#3: Red Velvet Cheesecake Iced Latte

Albert's choice.

J: 7/10-I tasted more red velvet than cheesecake, but that did not make it any less delicious. I just LOVE cheesecake.

L: 10/10-This was his all time favorite cause he loves red velvet.

#4: Chocolate Coconut Iced Latte

Albert's choice.

J: 10/10-This was my favorite! Some people don't think chocolate and coffee pair together. I am NOT one of them. These flavors came together SO well with the expresso.

L: 5/10-He said his only issue was that he isn't the biggest fan of coconut.

#5: Praline Amaretto Iced Latte

Albert's choice: customer suggestion.

J: 10/10-These flavors make me think coffee, but they are not normally flavors I add to my coffee. It was absolutely spectacular! Albert said he heard a customer order it once and he was curious, so he put it on my board. Whoever they were, they are genius! It was so surprising how much I enjoyed this one.

L: 9/10-He really enjoyed the sweetness, but he thought it could use a bit more cream/milk. Overall, he really liked this one.

My hunny ordered a English Toffee White Chocolate Frappe

I got to try this one, and it was super smooth.Not too sweet, and all the flavors balanced out perfectly. I almost wished I had gotten myself one!! 10/10

L: The flavor combination was a genius idea. It was absolutely delicious! 10/10

The experience we had at the Texas Coffee Bar was so very warm and welcoming. The two owners were extremely kind along with their wives and all the sweet ladies working in the salon. If you haven't made it out there yet, you need to cause we will surely be back soon!
