Meet Mama's Cookbook: Jess

My name is Jess and here, I am going to share a little bit about myself and what I do.

First and foremost, I'm a passioate mama. Passionate about food of course, but my babies and my family come first, ALWAYS. And yes, thats babIES. One beautiful daughter and two loyal fur-daughters. My FIANCE and I have built a beautiful life together and we only plan to go up from here.

My passion for food comes, 100%, from my dad. For as long as I can remember, and even before I was born, he has been making art with his food. Not only in looks, but in taste as well. Everything I know, is self-taught. Of course, with the help of my dad and Pinterest lol.

In August of this year(2023), I will officially be a Culinary and Business student with the hopes of building up THREE diverse, yet successful businesses. One of which, I've already begun the process for. That's right! My pop-up cafe is already in the works! I currently attend local pop-up events to sell my baked goods, but I recently took a break to re-write my menu and re-work my WHOLE business plan. I am hoping to have that idea dropped by mid-March, so stay tuned! Eventually, I want this business on wheels, but until then we will keep striving under the canopy!

Last but not least, some of you may wonder what you're doing on this page. Welcome to my food blog! For any of you who love to cook, want to learn or just need some new, unique dinner ideas, this is the place for you! I don't know about y'all, but I have found REFUGE in the kitchen. If I can help someone be inspired the way I have, I'll know I can go FAR with my cooking. I have BIG dreams in the kitchen. I intend to achieve them ALL. One day, I can look back here and see how all my hard work paid off.
